Shirley Moulton

Shirley Moulton is a native of Ottawa, and has been exhibiting her artwork since 1995. Her artwork is multi media, as she is proficient in oil, pastel, watercolour, coloured pencil, pencil, gouache and pen & ink. She has received training in art at the Ottawa School of Art, and with local artists Bob Grant and Dana Brezina. She also has studied art history at Carleton University. Shirley belongs to a number of art associations besides the Ottawa Art Association, including Nepean Fine Arts League, the Ottawa School of Art, Ottawa Watercolour Society, Arteast, Pencil Art Society, and Colored Pencil Society of America. .Shirley has won a number of awards for her artwork, including the Bluesfest portrait contest for her portrait of John Lee Hooker, in 2000, and been published in The Charleton, the Ottawa Citizen, and the Parkhurst Exchange.
